Information and Regulations For All Art Entries
Professional artists will be judging the art submissions. All renderings must have an orchid(s) as a dominant part of the piece! The orchid art pieces will also be judged based on originality, composition, elements of art (e.g. line, colour, space, form) and overall impression
When filling out the registration form please check categories carefully for type of artist and type of piece. N.B. You may have to supply your own easel for a larger piece.
All artists who wish to submit orchid art must notify J. Auschrat by phone (780-484-4290 - Please leave a message.) or email (cakesliver@shaw.ca) by Monday, March 31, 2025. If you do not receive a confirmation in a reasonable amount of time please notify again.
All entries must be clearly labeled with your name, address, phone number and school if applicable.
Adult, Senior and Professional Art
Adult paintings or drawings must be framed or matted. Please note that framing often improves the overall impression of an art piece. If only matted, the pieces should be mounted on a sturdy backing.
Adults may be asked to supply their own display easel for large pieces.
Depending on availability of display space, more than one art piece may be submitted.
Artists are invited to include information for the public (e.g. business cards) if pieces are for sale.
Youth Art
Youth paintings or drawings must be matted. No frames please!
Due to display space limitations the finished matted pieces should not be larger than 16 x 20 inches.
Youths may submit only one piece.
Security will be provided but no guarantee will be undertaken to cover loss or damage.
All entries must be delivered to Hole's Enjoy Centre (Address above) on
Thursday, April 2, 2026, between 2:00 & 6:00PM
and picked up on
Sunday, April 5, 2026, between 4:00 & 5:00 PM.
Entries may not be removed earlier than the specified time! All entries must also be signed out at the exit before being removed! N.B. If entries are left past the specified pickup time there will be no guarantee that the entries will be returned.
